This filter is crafted to reduce light by 2 to 5 stops, which is ideal for cloudy to extremely bright days. It can do this thanks to its variable design. Rather than waste time swapping out filters as the light changes, you can leave this one on and adjust it with a twist. This filter is the equivalent of having separate ND4, ND8, ND16, and ND32 filters.
