Designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, the Venus Optics Argus 18mm f/0.95 MFT APO Lens is a close-focusing wide-angle prime designed for landscapes, cityscapes, street scenes, portraits, and more. Its ultra-fast aperture is well suited for low light photography, astrophotography, shallow depth of field portraits, as well as videography. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 7.9", making it an excellent choice for photographing and filming close-ups of plants, insects, and small details. Keeping video requirements in mind, the lens also features an aperture ring click switch that allows the lens to be switched between clicked and de-clicked apertures for alternating between photography and videography applications. Additionally, the design consists of an aspherical element, two ED elements, and four ultra-high refraction elements.
- Designed for mirrorless Micro Four Thirds cameras, this wide-angle 18mm f/0.95 lens provides a 36mm full-frame equivalent focal length.
- Ultra-fast f/0.95 maximum aperture is well-suited to working in difficult and low lighting conditions and provides unique control over depth of field for extraordinary background separation.
- Nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a creamy and pleasing bokeh quality when making shallow depth of field imagery.
- Close-focusing design provides a minimum focusing distance of just 7.9".
- Aperture ring click switch allows the lens to be switched between clicked and de-clicked apertures.
- Internal focusing minimizes focus breathing and prevents dusting.
- Apochromatic lens design suppresses chromatic aberration across in-focus and out-of-focus areas. This design also allows the lens to produce outstanding image performance for higher contrast and image fidelity.
