While an STM motor drives the autofocusing performance of the lens module, manual focusing is provided via the AF/MF switch and narrow focusing ring for precise adjustments. Sporting an extremely lightweight design, the module itself weighs just 2.1 oz and all three lenses weigh less than half an ounce each, contributing to a slim and compact design that's optimized for travel.
