Insta360 One R Invisible Selfie Stick 70cm

The One R Invisible Selfie Stick from Insta360 telescopically extends from a handgrip-size 6 to 27.5" in length. When used with the Insta360 One R 360 Mod, it's automatically removed from the image even when fully extended. Featuring a standard 1/4"-20 mounting screw, it also supports most other cameras similar in size to the One R. It's likewise removed from the image when used with the Insta360 ONE X, ONE, and EVO cameras.

Of the many action cameras on the market, only a handful stand out at the very top. Today, Insta360 has announced a unique new action cam that will surely be on that list: the ONE R Modular Action Cam system. It consists of a Core module that has a touchscreen display and controls, as well as other modules that can be used interchangeably with the Core.

The Core module, plus a second module of your choice, install side-by-side in a stylish Battery Base. The Base has electronic contacts that link the modules together to work as one unit. What are these other modules? This is where things get even more interesting: There's a 1" Wide-Angle Mod that captures 5.3K video, a 4K Wide-Angle Mod, and a Dual Lens 360 Mod. In one system, you get two types of action cams and a 360-degree spherical VR camera, all in an ultra-compact form. Instead of having three cameras for different applications, you can just swap in the module you need.

The system will be available in different configurations, and the individual modules will be available separately as well. The ONE R Twin Edition will include the Battery Base, Core module, 4K Mod, and 360 Mod. Additionally,  you can get the 1" Mod—which has a large 1" sensor that delivers higher, 5.3K resolution. The Twin Edition also comes with a mounting frame that has a standard 3-prong action cam mount. The entire setup installs as one into the frame. All the units are waterproof down to 16' without requiring a waterproof housing, while dive cases are also optionally available.

When you use the 360 Mod, the display screen on the Core module can actually be swiped around by touch. In many 360 cameras, this function can only be done in a companion smartphone app, but the ONE R allows you to do this directly in-camera as well as in an app that is iOS/Android compatible.

When working with the 4K Mod, the live-view screen on the Core module can be set up as front or rear facing so you can shoot the standard way or do selfies and vlog videos. The 4K Mod also has FlowState Stabilization so your recordings come out smoother. We're waiting on confirmation whether these two features will be available in the 1" Mod as well.

The companion app provides AI features for all the different modules, including an entire workflow for the 360 Mod. It offers intuitive editing tools and creative features such as auto-reframed hyperlapse, Starlapse, Color Plus dynamic range adjustment, stop motion, and more. The additional features that the overall ONE R system offers include subject tracking, voice control, external mic support, and Bluetooth remote control from an Apple Watch or a dedicated GPS remote.
