The Phantom 4 Pro+ from DJI boasts a 3-axis-stabilized gimbal camera with a 20MP, 1" CMOS sensor capable of shooting up to 4K/60fps video and well as photo bursts at up to 14 fps. The hull has been updated from the previous Phantom 4, now featuring magnesium alloy construction for increased rigidity and reduced weight. The FlightAutonomy system adds dual rear-vision sensors plus infrared sensing for a total of five directions of obstacle sensing and four directions of obstacle avoidance. Compared to the Phantom 4 Advanced variant, the Pro features the noted four, rather than two, directions of obstacle avoidance and offers a 5.8 GHz channel for the Lightbridge link, in addition to 2.4 GHz.
The Phantom 4 Pro+ features a high-luminance display integrated into the remote controller.
Gimbal Camera with 1" CMOS Sensor
1" CMOS Sensor
Sensor size is often more important to image quality than the number of pixels, because a larger sensor has dynamic Range, better signal-to-noise ratio, and boosted low light performance. The 1" 20MP CMOS sensor in the Phantom 4 Pro+ is almost four times the size of the Phantom 4's 1/2.3" sensor. It uses larger pixels and has a maximum ISO of up to 12,800 as well as increased contrast.
H.264 and H.265 4K Video Recording
Powerful video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60 fps or H.265 4K at 30 fps, both recorded in a 100 Mbps bitrate. Advanced sensors and processors ensure everything is captured with more image detail and the image data needed for manipulation in post-production.
Production-Optimized 4K
An enhanced video processing system allows video to be captured in cinema- and production- optimized DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 60 fps and a bitrate of 100 Mbps. The Phantom 4 Pro+ also supports the H.265 video codec at 30 fps in 4K resolution. for a given bitrate, H.265 doubles the amount of image processing as H.264, resulting in significantly enhanced image quality from a more efficient compression. Record in the high dynamic Range D-log mode to make the most of this image data for color grading.
High Resolution Lens
The Phantom 4 Pro+ camera has an aerial-optimized f/2.8 wide-angle lens with a 24 mm equivalent focal length. It features eight elements â two aspherical â arranged in seven groups that fit into a smaller, more compact frame. Its images are consistently detailed with low distortion and low dispersion, ensuring that photos and videos are sharp and vivid.
Mechanical Shutter
Capturing objects moving at high speed has always been a challenge for flying cameras using an electronic shutter. This is why the Phantom 4 Pro+ is the first DJI Phantom to use a mechanical shutter and a large-aperture prime lens. A maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/2000-second eliminates motion blur and "jello effect" caused by shooting a fast moving object with a rolling electronic shutter. The electronic shutter has also been improved with a max shutter speed of 1/8000-second, and a there is Burst Mode shoot capable of shooting 14 fps at 20 megapixels to catch the perfect moment.
Remote Controller with Lightbridge HD Video Link
Lightbridge HD Video Link
The Lightbridge HD video transmission system used in the Phantom 4 Pro+ uses TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) to transmit signals, allowing it to send controller signals and receive video transmission signals at the same frequency. As the 2.4 GHz frequency band is often affected by Wi-Fi, 4G cell towers, and other types of interference in urban areas, a 5.8 GHz band will increase transmission reliability. When switched on, the Phantom 4 The Phantom 4 Pro+ features a high-luminance display integrated into the remote controller. evaluates local signal levels, automatically choosing the transmission frequency with the lowest level of interference. This enables a maximum video transmission Range of 4.3 miles.
Integrated 1080p Display
A 5.5" 1080p screen integrated w offers 1000 cd/m² of brightness, more than twice as bright as conventional smart devices. It makes bright, vivid colors easily visible in direct sunlight. with this screen, a mobile device is not required, simplifying pre-flight preparations. As the DJI GO app is built into the screen, hardware and software can be fully optimized, further reducing video lag. Integration of an HDMI port, microSD card slot, microphone, embedded loudspeaker, and Wi-Fi connection allow images to be edited inside DJI GO to be shared almost instantly. Lastly, a five-hour battery life makes the Phantom 4 Pro+ a complete aerial imaging solution.
Intelligent Flight Modes
Draw
with Draw, simply draw a route on screen and the Phantom 4 Pro+ will move in that direction while keeping its altitude locked. This allows the pilot to focus on camera control and enables more complex shots. There are two Draw modes that can be used in different scenarios:
Standard: The aircraft follows the route at a constant speed with the camera facing in the direction of flight.
Free: The aircraft only moves along the route when instructed. In this mode, the camera can face in any direction during a flight.
ActiveTrack
Following fast-moving objects can be very challenging, but advanced, image-recognition algorithms used by the Phantom 4 Pro+ allow it to recognize and track an object while keeping it in frame. This algorithm also recognizes a Range of subjects, from people to vehicles to animals, and will adjust its flight dynamics to match, ensuring smoother shots. Pilots can now choose between:
Trace: Follow behind or in front of a subject, avoiding obstacles automatically.
Profile: Fly alongside a subject at a variety of angles to get profile shots of the subject.
Spotlight: Keep the camera trained on a subject while the aircraft flies almost anywhere.
TapFly
Fly in any direction visible on-screen with a simple tap. Tap anywhere on-screen to smoothly adjust the direction of flight while automatically avoiding obstacles and tap the screen again or use control sticks to change direction. An AR route function shows the aircraft's real-time flight direction for reference as its route is adjusted. As it can be difficult to control altitude, course, speed and camera pitch simultaneously using joysticks, TapFly Free allows a pilot to set the direction of flight, allowing them to turn the Phantom 4 Pro+ or tilt the gimbal as required without changing the direction of flight. In total, there are now three TapFly modes:
TapFly forward: Tap to fly in the Selected direction
TapFly Backward: Tap to fly in the opposite direction of the tap, i.e. tap in the bottom right corner of the screen to fly backward towards the top left.
TapFly Free: Lock the forward direction of the Phantom without locking the camera direction allowing it to turn as it flies.
Note: Obstacle Avoidance is not available with TapFly Free.
Return to Home
In its Return to Home mode, the Phantom 4 Pro+ can automatically choose the best route to return home depending on environmental conditions. It records its route as it flies, allowing it to return along the same route avoiding obstacles if the control signal is disconnected.
Based on its altitude at the time of disconnection, the Phantom 4 Pro is also able to adjust its flight path to avoid obstacles it has seen during its flight. At takeoff, the Phantom 4 Pro+ will record the scene below and compare its recording with what it sees as it returns, for more precise landing. It can also detect the ground to see whether there is suitable spot for landing. If any obstacles are found, or there is water on the ground, it will alert the pilot and hover at an appropriate height, helping the aircraft to land more safely.
Gesture Mode
with Gesture Mode, selfies can be captured using a few gestures without the remote controller. Computer vision technology allows the Phantom 4 Pro+ to take instructions through gestures. The subject simply lifts their arms when facing the camera and the aircraft will recognize this movement by locking on and placing the subject in the center of the frame. When ready for a photo, the subject holds their arms out to signal the aircraft. A three second countdown will begin, making time to strike a pose, allowing moments to be captured without the remote control.
Flight Control System
Flight Modes
Different productions require different flight characteristics, and the Phantom 4 Pro offers three modes for flight: P, A and S. Switching between them allows pilots to get the control they need, whether they seek smoothness, simplicity, intelligent navigation, or speed. In Position Mode (P), TapFly, ActiveTrack, obstacle sensing and positioning features are available. Sport Mode (S) adds extra agility and higher speed, reaching 45 mph . Attitude Mode (A) switches off satellite stabilization and holds the Phantom 4 Pro+'s altitude. It is ideal for experienced pilots looking to capture smoother footage. Tripod Mode, which limits speed to 4 mph provides precision control for fine framing and indoor flying. Both the infrared sensing system and vision sensors are enabled in these modes for a safer flight experience.
Sensor Redundancy
The Phantom 4 Pro+ features dual compass modules and dual IMU units, making it more reliable when compared to many hexacopters and octocopers. Compasses and IMUs are important sensors to ensure a stable flight and the Phantom 4 Pro+ constantly compares the data it receives through both pairs. This data is run through various algorithms to check accuracy, and any inaccurate data is simply discarded without affecting flight, keeping flight steady and reliable.
Intelligent Battery System
Professional aerial imaging benefits from longer flight times. The Phantom 4 Pro+ features a maximum flight time of 30 minutes, providing more time in the air to capture the perfect shot. The DJI GO app shows battery lifetime and calculates remaining flight times according to distance traveled and more. It will give alerts when it reaches a minimum safe amount required for a safe journey back to the takeoff point. An advanced battery management system is also in place to prevent overcharging and over draining. When placed in longer term storage, batteries will discharge power to maintain good health.
Version 2 of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro includes all the same great features as the original Phantom 4 Pro and boasts several enhancements including improved resolution for on-controller live-view streaming, enhanced connectivity, and more. Like the original, the Phantom 4 Pro Version 2 features a 3-axis-stabilized gimbal camera with a 20MP 1" CMOS sensor capable of shooting up to 4K60 fps video and photo bursts at up to 14 fps. It also utilizes the FlightAutonomy system, which includes dual rear-vision sensors and infrared sensing for a total of five directions of obstacle sensing and four directions of obstacle avoidance. Instead of Lightbridge, the Phantom 4 Pro Version 2 now uses Ocusync, which enables improved live video stream performance. Other notable enhancements include lighter props and reduced overall takeoff weight, wireless integration with DJI Goggles, and bolstered transmission power.

It begins with the X9-8K Air, an 8K, full-frame, 3-axis, gimbal camera custom-built for the Inspire 3. It joins a new 1/1.8" FPV camera with double the DFOV of the Inspire 2. Together, they help capture professional footage and complex shots thanks to a customizable obstacle avoidance system, built-in centimeter-level RTK accuracy, and tracking solutions that allow accurate and repeatable shots.
8K X9-8K Air Gimbal
The heart of the Inspire 3 is the custom-built X9-8K Air gimbal that uses CineCore 3.0, DJI's latest image processing system to internally record up to 8K25 CinemaDNG video or 8K75 Apple ProRes RAW video (both requiring RAW License Key, sold separately). The footage retains a lifelike texture that's close to what the human eye can see, allowing enough space to add visual effects and color grading. Complex lighting sources are supported with 14+ stops of dynamic range and the use of the DJI cinema Color System authenticity in recording everything from urban landscapes to a variety of skin tones. Additional features include:
Please note: While this drone is capable of shooting in CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes, a RAW License Key is required and sold separately by DJI.
FPV Camera
Doubling the DFOV of the Inspire 2 to 161°, the new 1/1.8" FPV camera lets pilots take in an ultra-wide first-person view of what the drone sees in flight. The camera supports the transmission of live feeds at 1080p60 and provides a large 3 μm pixel size. The larger pixels offer better light-sensing for improved night vision and safer low-light FPV flying.
Centimeter-Level RTK Positioning
With RTK antennas built into the Inspire 3's airframe, pilots can take advantage of centimeter-level accuracy normally utilized in architecture and surveying to use DJI Waypoint Pro to confidently fly complex routes over and over. The RTK antennas work in conjunction with three types of GNSS (GPS, BeiDou, and Galileo) and dual-frequency positioning. Pilots can choose to activate an RTK Network, using the internet connection of the RC Plus to connect to an NTRIP server or set up an optional D-RTK 2 Mobile Station without needing to install additional modules.
Waypoint Pro
This feature encompasses a wide range of settings, including Repeatable Routes and 3D Dolly, allowing filmmakers to take advantage of RTK positioning to more easily replicate and capture highly-complex scenes.
Spotlight Pro
With improved machine-learning algorithms, the Inspire 3 can use Spotlight Pro to automate subject recognition and locking for both people and vehicles with increased accuracy. Choose from Follow or Free modes to capture the scene.
Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance
To help keep the Inspire 3 and bystanders safe during filming, DJI incorporates nine visual sensors to detect obstacles in all directions. This includes 360° horizontal, upward, and downward coverage, in addition to a depth-sensing downward ToF sensor. A fisheye camera is attached to each of the four landing arms. When they are raised, obstruction from the airframe can be avoided, and when lowered, you gain horizontal obstacle sensing.
A new feature offered by the Inspire 3 is the ability to customize obstacle avoidance. So, filmmakers can enable or disable horizontal, upward, or downward sensing independently. This allows pilots to fly closer to objects, performing complex and creative maneuvers without automated avoidance ruining the shot. You still get the ability to manually set a range, where the Inspire 3 will give you an audible alert sound if you get too close, and you'll always be able to see an object's distances on the controller's display.
O3 Pro
O3 Pro is a generational leap in distance, video latency, and stability compared to the Inspire 2. Using the DJI O3 Pro video transmission and control system, pilots of the Inspire 3 can enjoy a maximum control distance of 9.3 miles in single-control mode or up to 7.5 miles in dual-control mode. Both the 8K gimbal and FPV can provide live feeds of 1080p90 at a low 90 ms latency, and for the first time, filmmakers can have live feeds at 4K30 or 1080p60 at up to 3.1 miles.
DJI RC Plus
In addition to classic piloting controls with integrated buttons and dials, the RC Plus's 7" display works with the DJI Pilot 2 app to add a live video feed and telemetry, such as camera exposure, video specs, focal length, and gimbal angle. The display provides 1200 nits of brightness, making it suitable for outdoor viewing.
To share the live video feed with others on set, you can use the built-in HDMI output to connect the controller to an optional monitor. It can run for up to 3.3 hours per battery charge and supports hot swapping to extend battery life. If you do fly for long periods, the included strap and waist support help to make piloting more comfortable.
Dual Control with Independent Links
Unlike Inspire 2, primary and secondary control links are not bound. This means that two remotes can operate independently, giving each operator live feeds and the ability to be at different physical positions. Also, if the pilot loses the signal, the gimbal operator can take over to land the drone safely. Please note that a second remote is optional and not included.
Expandable DJI PRO Ecosystem
Even with the DJI Inspire 3's impressive cinematic capabilities, pilots and gimbal operators can expand the drone's performance even more with optional DL Mount lenses and DJI PRO Ecosystem accessories and features.
TB51 Dual-Battery System
Six TB51 batteries are included with a charging hub to maximize flight time. Each pair of the small and lightweight TB51 batteries delivers 28 minutes of flight time and supports hot swapping to get fresh batteries into the Inspire 3, reducing downtime. Key Features
Safely film steady, ultra-wide 4K stabilized video indoors or outside, in and around objects, with the DJI Avata FPV Drone. Sporting what some call a "cinewhoop" design, the Avata comes in a palm-sized form factor with all four propellers protected with attached guards. This allows for close-up filming indoors, near people, and through small openings without risking damage or injury to people and property. If the Avata does come in contact, it can just bounce off and keep flying. For a more immersive experience with intuitive controls, you can opts to pair the Avata with optional Goggles 2, FPV Goggles V2, and the DJI Motion Controller
The Avata comes equipped with a 48MP 1/1.7" CMOS sensor, which supports up to 4K video at 100 fps. This footage is shot with an ultra-wide 155° FOV that mimics how we see with our own eyes for a natural and realistic experience. The footage is stabilized in two ways using RockSteady 2.0 EIS and HorizonSteady EIS. RockSteady EIS works to reduce camera shake, while HorizonSteady locks the Avata's footage to a level horizon.
Utilizing 2T2R omnidirectional antennas, the Avata can feed your controller or compatible FPV goggles (both not included) with Full HD 1080p video at up to 100 fps, with only a 30 ms latency, and at a 50 Mb/s data transfer rate. The footage is compressed with H.265 to save on storage space when saving videos, and it can be sent from up to 6.2 miles away.
A downward binocular vision sensor and ToF depth sensor work conjunctively to detect obstacles on the ground during flight. This gives pilots the ability to safely fly low-altitude and indoor flights.
The propeller guards usually let the Avata take a bump and keep on flying, but what if the Avata hits hard enough to fall and land on its back like a turtle? Just activate Turtle Mode with a few taps to have the Avata flip itself right side up and get back to flying.
Designed for Windows, iOS 12.0+, and Android 9.0+, this software lets new and experienced pilots practice flying indoors and outside, honing their skills from a variety of preinstalled simulated scenarios.
