TAX REFUND PAYMENT OPTIONS

Tax refunds are given in cash only if the amount does not exceed IDR 5,000,000 (five million rupiah);

Via transfer to your bank account:

If the amount of the Tax refund exceeds IDR 5,000,000 (five million rupiah), the refund will be made via transfer. Passengers must provide a bank account number; account name, address, bank routing number, transfer destination bank and currency requested for Tax refund. The transfer will be carried out within one month of receipt of the Tax refund application.

Special Circumstances

If the amount of Tax refund exceeds IDR 5,000,000 (five million rupiah) and the passenger does not want to be refunded via transfer, then IDR 5,000,000 (five million rupiah) will be returned in cash and the remaining Tax is non-refundable.

Tax Refunds can only be claimed at the airport on your departure date and you must follow these steps:

-Submit the original valid tax invoice (tax invoice accompanied by proof of payment) to the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) officer at the Tax Refund counter. This valid tax invoice also functions as a Tax Refund request to the DJP;

-Show your passport, boarding pass and items purchased as accompanying baggage;

-Receive Tax refunds in cash or transfer to your bank account.
